If you have a current 12th grader, they must show proof of 2 Meningococcal vaccines by the October 15 deadline as well or be excluded.

Senior Picture Submission
It’s time to submit senior pictures for the yearbook! If your student booked an appointment with Prestige Photography to have their picture taken on campus over the summer, and that is the picture your student wants to include in the yearbook, you are good to go! If you did not use Prestige Photography for your student’s senior portraits, that is no problem, but we will need you to submit a photo of your own to be included in the yearbook. Photos need to be submitted by December 20 to be included in the yearbook publication. We require a forward-facing portrait taken from the shoulders up, with a plain/non-distracting background. Please note that if you send in a full-body image, it will be cropped from the shoulders up as the yearbook file is not large enough to accommodate a full-body photo. Please submit your student’s chosen picture via email to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org along with your student’s first and last name. Thank you!

Traffic Flow Explanation for Drop Off/Pick Up and Parking
We are re-introducing our two-way traffic pattern to our campus this year. You may enter and exit from both Hawthorne Road and Prince Crossing Road. Review the traffic flow map here.

If parents are dropping off or picking up, parents must enter from Hawthorne Ln. Follow the signs to access the drop zones in the Central Lot and along the main entrance of the Academic Building. Drop zones are marked in blue on this map.

If students are parking, they may enter from either entrance to park in the North and West Lots in their assigned parking spot.

Please note: Westbound Geneva Rd is closed west of Winfield Rd to replace the bridge over the DuPage River. If you are coming to school from the east, consider taking Jewel Rd or Winfield Rd to High Lake Road to avoid the closure. Alternate routes include taking Pleasant Hill Rd or County Farm Rd to North Ave.

Welcome New Faculty and Staff
We are excited to welcome new faculty and staff to Wheaton Academy as we kick off the school year. Learn more about these new faces here and be sure to say hello!

New Parent Night Digital Resources
On Thursday, August 22 we hosted New Parent Night which was orientation for all Freshman and Transfer parents. We enjoyed hearing from leadership, meeting Parent Ambassadors, and creating connections within the school community before the start of the new year. If you were unable to attend, please refer to this page which reflects all the information and PowerPoint presented that night.

Schedules
Mrs. Roberts is not making any more schedule changes between now and the first day of school. After the first day of school, schedule changes will be on a case-by-case, limited basis.

Please make sure your student checks their schedules before the first day of school as the order of their classes may have changed due to the balancing of classes.

SWIMMING at Wheaton Academy
Although Wheaton Academy does not have swimming practices, we do go to the Sectional Meet with students who practice and participate on club teams. Girls swimming is in the fall (sectional meet is usually the first Saturday in November) and Boys swimming is a winter sport (Sectional Meet is usually the 3rd Saturday in February.) If your son or daughter is interested in participating, please contact Mr. Mack at kmack@wheatonacademy.org

Since most of the academic building will continue to be under construction throughout the summer, we will need some help in early August to get spaces cleaned and ready for the school year to begin! Textbook Acquisition for the 2024-2025 School Year
Families are responsible for purchasing or renting books for their student(s). Wheaton Academy has worked with our bookstore company, eCampus, to provide each family a convenient option to purchase or rent books.

Families can shop for each student’s books using eCampus’ “Shop by Schedule” option on their website. Then, eCampus will ship the purchased or rented books directly to each family’s home. Here are some important things to note:

  • New families – If you have not yet received your student’s Dell Latitude or student email address, you may visit Student Services starting July 16 from 8 AM – 4 PM to pick it up.
  • Bookstore opens on July 17
  • All books must be shipped to your home, not Wheaton Academy.
  • Shipping is free from July 17-24. After the first week, families will pay for their own shipping.
  • Please order books by August 14 to ensure arrival before school begins on August 26.
  • You must use your student’s Wheaton Academy email (lastname@walearner.org) to order books.
  • If you have more than one student at Wheaton Academy, you will need each student’s email and must log in separately for each student, as their schedule information automatically populates the customized booklist through their email.
