2025-2026 School Year Bell Schedule
We are looking forward to the new school year! The 2025-26 school year bell schedule may be found here. The first day of school is Monday, August 25. We will run a modified bell schedule during the first two weeks of school. You may see the first week bell schedule by clicking here. You may see the second week bell schedule by clicking here.
Picture Day!
Picture Day this year will be September 3 and September 4. A make-up/retake day will be October 8. Lifetouch will be set up in the Atrium from 8:00-1:30 on these days. It is very important that your student stop by to take his/her picture within the given time frame on one of those three days. There is no allotted time for students to take their pictures, so it is up to the student to ensure they get their picture taken. Before school, study hall, lunch, and passing periods are all great times to stop by! Please note, Lifetouch will be gone by the end of the day, so they will not be available after school. Please reach out to Miss Rusthoven (krusthoven@wheatonacademy.org) with any questions. Thank you!

It was a privilege to host parents of new freshmen and transfer students on Wednesday night at our New Parent Night. Our parent ambassadors and faculty enjoyed getting to know you and fostering our community together. If you were unable to make it or would like the resources we distributed, you can access them on our new families resources page. This page includes information that will help you and your students have a great first week of school. We look forward to seeing your students on Monday for the first day of school!

Textbook Acquisition for the 2025-2026 School Year
Families are responsible for purchasing or renting books for their student(s). Wheaton Academy has worked with our bookstore company, eCampus, to provide each family a convenient option to purchase or rent books.
Families can shop for each student’s books using eCampus’ “Shop by Schedule” option on their website. Then, eCampus will ship the purchased or rented books directly to each family’s home. Here are some important things to note:
- All books must be shipped to your home, not Wheaton Academy.
- You must use your student’s Wheaton Academy email (lastname@walearner.org) to order books.
- If you have more than one student at Wheaton Academy, you will need each student’s email and must log in separately for each student, as their schedule information automatically populates the customized booklist through their email.
- For details steps on how to order books, click here.
Trap Team
Did you know that Wheaton Academy has a competitive precision team shooting club that meets on Tuesday evenings and Saturday middays in both the fall and spring seasons at the St. Charles Sportsmen’s Club in Elburn? Trap Shooting is a team sport with a strong individual and team component designed to emphasize safety and improve accuracy when using firearms.
At least one parent must have an active FOID card for anyone interested in joining the Trap Team this season. A shooting membership and safety course is offered by St. Charles Sportsmen’s Club on Saturday, September 20, at 9:45 am, and is required to participate.
Existing members’ first practice is Tuesday, September 2, at 5:45 pm, and new members begin Saturday, September 20, at 11:45 am. Hope to see you there! For more information, contact Mr. McCallum.
Resource Guide: Sexual Abuse and Prevention
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) maintains a resource guide on sexual abuse response and prevention, and requires non-public schools to share this information with their communities. The guide contains information on and the location of children’s advocacy centers, organizations that provide medical evaluations and treatment to victims of child sexual abuse, organizations that provide mental health evaluations and services to victims and families of victims of child sexual abuse, and organizations that offer legal assistance to and provide advocacy on behalf of victims of child sexual abuse. This guide can be accessed through the ISBE website at www.isbe.net.
Driver’s Ed
In an effort to accommodate student schedules and extracurricular activities, Wheaton Academy offers after-school and summer driver’s education courses by hosting Excel Driving School. This year’s Driver’s Education Class Schedule can be found on the Families page and has a class starting in just a few weeks!
Senior Picture Submission
Please begin thinking about the photo your student would like to submit to the yearbook. For their senior year, students are able to choose a photo that they would like to submit to the yearbook as their senior portrait. Your student may have chosen to take their senior picture with Prestige over the summer, or they may have had their photos taken through a different company. Either option is perfectly fine, but each requires different steps for submitting their photo.
If your student chose to take their photos with Prestige, Prestige will ask you which photo you would like to select for the yearbook, and it will automatically be sent to us. If this is the option your student chose, please simply select the photo you want submitted to the yearbook, and no further action is needed. You are all set!
If your student had their photo taken with a different company, that is perfectly fine as well. However, since Wheaton Academy does not work directly with other companies, you will need to submit your chosen photo to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org. Once you have sent in your student’s photo, you are good to go!
Please keep a few things in mind when selecting the photo you plan to submit to the yearbook:
- Please do not send in a cropped or altered photo. Our system will not allow us to import a screenshot or cropped photo. Please make sure to send the original photo via email to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org. Please send the photo as a file, not a link. Thank you!
- Please submit a forward-facing, clear picture of your student’s face from the shoulders up, with a non-distracting background. Due to the dimensions of the yearbook photo frame, all photos will be cropped from the shoulders up. You are welcome to send in a full body photo, but please understand that, given the dimensions of the frame, it will need to be cropped. Please do not crop the photo before sending it, as the program will not allow us to upload it. We will crop it when we import it.
- When emailing your student’s photo, please include their first and last name.
All photos must be submitted by December 19, 2025. Please reach out to Miss Rusthoven with any questions (krusthoven@wheatonacademy.org). Thanks!
