Spring Concerts

The concerts start at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium and are free of charge. All are welcome!
WA Women’s Prayer
The dates of WA Women’s Prayer for the rest of the school year are:
May 3 – Prayer with Seniors, May 10, and May 17. We gather in Luz’s apartment on campus just past the Alumni Relations Office from 1:30 -2:45 p.m. Please contact Mary Miller with your questions or prayer requests marym996.mac@mac.com.

Furnace Company Dance and Improv Team Upcoming Events:
Evening in the Furnace
Join us for a fun evening of family-friendly dance and comedy improv! Friday, May 6, at 7:00 pm in the FAC auditorium! Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door.
Furnace Company Dance and Improv Team Workshops and Auditions
Audition workshops are on Wednesday, May 11, 3:30-5:00 pm. This is a time for students who are interested in auditioning to come and learn the basics as well as ask questions about the auditions! Improv will be located in the Alumni White Chapel and dance is located in the Dance Room. No sign-ups necessary.
Improv auditions are Monday, May 16, 3:30-5:30 in the White Chapel
Dance auditions are Wednesday, May 18, 3:30-5:30 in the Dance Room
Students will need to bring a filled-out application with them.

Winterim Trips
Our Winterim trips are live! Please see the Families website here for more information and payment options. Applications are due May 3 by midnight. Deposits are due by 3:30 p.m. May 4 for applications to be considered. Please contact Amy Heavey at aheavey@wheatonacademy.org if you have any questions.
Complimentary Class of 2022 Yard Sign
Complete the form by May 2
Parents of graduating seniors–we would love to celebrate your student’s upcoming graduation with a complimentary yard sign. Please complete this form to indicate your family’s interest in a yard sign, and we will order one for your family. Please complete the form by May 2. We hope to have them delivered to the school for pick-up in mid-May.
Senior Graduation Details
Senior Lunch and Graduation Practice, Tuesday, May 31, 12:00-2:30 p.m.
After finals on Tuesday, May 31, Seniors will meet in the Commons for lunch, then travel to Wheaton College for graduation practice. Attendance at this practice is mandatory. Seniors will receive more details as the date draws closer.
Baccalaureate Service, Friday, June 3, 7:00 p.m. WA Fine Arts Center
Please join us for a time of worship and prayer over our graduating seniors.
Commencement Ceremony, Sunday, June 5, 3:00 p.m. Wheaton College, Edman Chapel
We are pleased that the commencement ceremony will return to Wheaton College. More details will follow, but there will be no limit to seating for families and no tickets needed to attend.

Summer Serve
Come and serve at Wheaton Academy this summer! Summer Serve provides an opportunity to volunteer in a variety of capacities to make an impact on the presentation of our school facilities and help with projects to control costs and allow for a smooth transition into the fall. Summer Serve will be June 13- 17 and July 18-21. You can sign for just a day, or come for more, as we get the school ready for the next school year! Sign up using this form to join us this summer.

Annual Asbestos Notice – 2022
This notice meets a legal requirement to inform you annually that Wheaton Academy continues to meet all federal and state laws concerning asbestos in schools. All of our educational facilities have been thoroughly inspected, and inspections continue bi-annually by a state-certified asbestos firm, as is required by law. We continue to carry out all other specific requirements of the “AHERA” legislation, including the maintenance of a management plan. Our management plan is available for your review in the business office located in the Armour building during normal business hours. We welcome your questions and input as we continue to meet the necessary requirements and seek to implement any necessary precautions.
Athletics
LOOKING AHEAD!
For those of you who are planning your vacations this summer, the following Fall Sports will begin on Monday, August 8:
Boys and Girls Cross Country, Football, Boys and Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, and Boys Soccer. Please plan your vacations in order to have your athlete back for the beginning of tryouts on August 8.
*IMPORTANT*- Your athlete must have a valid Physical and the Athletic Packet completed and uploaded onto Magnus in order for them to try out on August 8. Please be scheduling your doctor’s appointments early so you can get into your health care provider, and get your physicals completed!
