“Grace and Truth”
Spring Spiritual Life Week
February 12-16, 2024
Some of the greatest questions of this generation revolve around identity and sexuality. Many young people are asking the question, “What does the Bible really say about these issues?” Students want to know the truth and how to receive and extend grace as they interact with their friends and culture. Dr. Christopher Yuan is one of the most noted voices of our time and we are excited that he will be our speaker for Spring Spiritual Life Week.
Dr. Yuan graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005 and received a Master’s in Biblical Exegesis in 2007 and a Doctorate of Ministry in 2014. Christopher taught the Bible at Moody Bible Institute for twelve years and his speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He speaks at conferences, on college campuses, in schools, and in churches. Dr. Yuan has co-authored with his mother their memoir, Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope, which has sold over 100,000 copies and is now in eight languages. Dr. Yuan’s newest book, Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story, was named the 2020 Book of the Year for Social Issues by Outreach Magazine. His powerful testimony and Biblical insight will challenge, encourage, and give hope to our students.
The schedule for the week listed below is full of opportunities for our students. Please note however two special gatherings for moms and parents. These are not ticketed events, but for our planning purposes, we ask you to RSVP using the accompanying links if you plan to attend.
