WA Women’s Saturday Prayer

Every third Saturday women from the Wheaton Academy community meet to pray for our school. Please join us on Saturday, February 17 at 9:00 a.m. in the Admissions Office for our next prayer time. We will hear from WA teacher Effie Damianidou. Light refreshments are served.

SOCK HOP
February 17
7:00 – 10:00 pm
Fieldhouse
The student council would like to invite the entire student body to our annual Sock Hop. It will take place on February 17, from 7 – 10:00 pm. We will have the Sock Hop in our Warrior Dome and we will roller skate in the field house! 1950’s attire would be fun, but not required. The night includes root beer floats and snacks. The cost is $25.00 per student. Tickets can be purchased in the atrium February 12-17. Tickets at the door will be $30.00. We hope to see all our students there!

Junior Project Lead
If your student is interested in serving on any of the Project Lead Teams during senior year, there will be an informational meeting on February 21 from 8:00-8:50 am in the FAC. If your student cannot attend that meeting, there will be a second meeting on February 22 in Mr. Bowling’s room during lunch. Any junior interested in being a part of Project Lead 2024-2025 will need to attend one of these meetings. Any further questions please contact Mr. Bowling. ebowling@wheatonacdemy.org

Preparing for the 2024-2025 School Year: Returning Student Class Registration and Re-Enrollment Deposit 
All parents of current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors need to complete two important steps to prepare for the next school year:
·       Pay a $350 re-enrollment deposit through OnCampus by February 29. You can find step-by-step instructions for submitting your deposit here: https://families.wheatonacademy.org/re-enrollment/
·       Mark your calendar and attend this year’s Registration Meetings for your student! Meetings begin March 4 through March 11. 

Please contact Jean Ann Parker (studentaccounts@wheatonacademy.org) if you have any questions about completing the re-enrollment deposit.

If you choose to opt out for the 2024-2025 academic year and wish to no longer attend Wheaton Academy, please contact Brittany Klenke (bklenke@wheatonacademy.org) in writing no later than March 1, 2024, to avoid being billed the re-enrollment deposit.

Course Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Students will receive their course recommendation sheets on Monday, February 26. Please go over the recommendations with your student and fill in any elective spots with their class requests. Class registration for returning students will be available on the following dates.

Friday, March 8, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Student Services – Please park in the East Lot and enter Door 12
Monday, March 11, 3:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Atrium
Friday, March 15, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Atrium

Registration will be an open house format. Families are welcome to come anytime, but you may need to wait a few minutes for an open spot. It typically takes around 15-20 minutes to register your student.

Summer Academy registration opens on March 1st.

Christian College Fair
Wheaton Academy will be hosting a Christian College fair on March 11th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Library.  We will have around 30 Christian College and University Reps here to talk with students/parents and answer questions on all things college.  Click here to see the flyer for the event. If you would scan the QR code and register in advance to the fair you’ll be able to walk right into the fair and have college reps interact and scan you to get your information for their admissions office.  Please don’t wait to register if you and your parents plan to attend.

Spring ACT/SAT Group Class
Registration for the spring ACT/SAT group class is now open. This group class will provide a comprehensive overview of both the ACT and SAT college admission tests and will include tips and strategies for taking both tests as well as how to apply these tips and tricks to practice test questions. The classes lead right up to the April 10th PSAT/SAT and the April 13th ACT exams.
Dates for the class: Monday Evenings: 6:30 PM-8:30 PM – March 4, 11, & 18 and Saturday Mornings: 10 AM – 12 PM – March 9, 16, and April 6.
All classes will be held in Classroom #104 in Wheaton Academy’s Academic Building. Materials will be provided. REGISTER HERE. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Valerie Gregersen.

Newspapers Needed!
