Off-Campus Learning Day
Monday, September 26

Monday, September 26 our faculty and staff will be participating in professional development. As a result, students will have an off-campus learning day. Students should plan to allocate the same amount of time for schoolwork as they would for a traditional on-campus day (approximately 7 hours). Teachers will make expectations clear to our students, and they will be able to access all work via OnCampus.

NEW Vietnam Winterim Trip: Application Deadline Extended
This trip is a special collaboration project with the International Boarding Program, for the purpose of building bridges with our growing family network in Vietnam. We will be hosted by WA families in Hanoi, who will take us on a journey to experience firsthand the stories that influence modern society in Vietnam — stories of history, economics, and value systems. Students will be expected to play a highly proactive role in the relational aspects and documentation of this trip. Experience with videography, editing, and social media preferred. The application deadline was extended to Friday, September 30. (Students joining this trip may be eligible for internship credit depending on their roles/responsibilities.)

National Honor Society
Invitations to apply for the National Honor Society will be mailed a bit late this year. Qualifying juniors and seniors should receive their invitations to apply by the middle of October.

Five-Year Strategic Plan
Wheaton Academy is in the fifth year of a five-year strategic plan. See plan here. As we begin the planning process for the new five-year strategic plan, we would love any input you would have on what should be a part of that plan. Please email Steve Bult at sbult@wheatonacademy.org with any input or insights you would like to share.

21-22 Yearbook Distribution
If you ordered a 2021-2022 yearbook for your student through Jostens, it will be delivered to your student’s first-period classroom the week of September 26, the week following Homecoming. This applies to all current sophomores, juniors, and seniors who ordered last year’s yearbook.
