Project Lead Global is hosting a Homecoming family tailgate fundraiser before the Thursday night football game on October 7 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. All proceeds raised will go towards the 24 vulnerable children Wheaton Academy sponsors in the DR and Haiti through Kids Alive International.  We are looking for donations of food and supplies and parent volunteers to help assist in preparing and serving the food and helping with clean up. Please click here to sign up to donate and/or serve.

Homecoming Family Tailgate, October 7
You and your family are invited to be part of the Homecoming Family Tailgate, Thursday, October 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the parking lot next to Performance Trust Field. The Project Lead Global team hosts this event as a fundraiser for the 24 vulnerable children Wheaton Academy sponsors through Kids Alive International. For a donation of $5 per person with a cap of $25 for a family, you will receive a yummy walking taco dinner and will be able to hang out and play fun yard games. The Shack will also be selling cinnamon rolls, with proceeds going to Kids Alive International. Each grade can also earn homecoming points when they and their families attend.

Please come for a fun evening of food, fellowship, and football! The girls’ championship Powder Puff Game will be held before the varsity football game. If you have any questions, please contact Valerie Gregersen. We hope to see you all there.

Conference Dinners
Our conference days are October 20 and 21. If you would like to contribute to our faculty dinners on those days, please contact Jim Holtrop.  Those willing may provide a pot of soup, a large salad, bread, or dessert for Wednesday night or a monetary gift towards a catered dinner for Thursday. Thanks so much for helping out. Our teachers really missed your amazing soups last year!!

Business & Innovation Program
Wheaton Academy’s Business & Innovation Program has had an excellent start to the school year with 75 Club members, the launch of our first student-run business, The Shack, and three new courses seeing full enrollment including 25 students participating in our INCubatoredu class this year. The students have ideated on their business ideas, formed teams, and are getting ready for their Coach Match Day. Please read the Newsletter focused on the INCubatoredu community of parents and volunteers by clicking here.

Picture Retakes
On October 12, Lifetouch will be at school for students who have not had their picture taken or need to retake their picture. This is the last time they will be at school, so make sure your student stops in the Atrium for a picture.

Senior Pictures
On October 22 Prestige will be in the Atrium after school for the final session of senior pictures. Please call them for an appointment if you are interested in having them take your student’s senior pictures.

Parking Privileges on Campus
Parents, please remind your students who drive to school to make sure they have registered the car(s) they drive and have received a Brand-New Parking Permit. This would be very helpful. Please look to see if they have the new sky-blue permit hanging in their cars.  With Homecoming quickly approaching and the addition of many alumni being on campus, being able to identify vehicles in our parking lots will be imperative.  Many students do not understand that they need to register their car every year, regardless of if they paid for multiple years last year.  Have your student visit with Mr. Ellison if there are any questions.
