Alisa Childers – Helping Equip our Kids to Have a Christian Worldview

How can we help equip our kids to have a Christian worldview in an increasingly secularized culture? Join us on November 14 to hear from author, singer, and apologist Alisa Childers. She will share tips about how Christian parents can teach their kids discernment by exposing them to bad ideas in an age-appropriate manner and teaching them to analyze media from a biblical perspective. WA Women’s Prayer
There are multiple opportunities for the women of Wheaton Academy to meet and pray. On the third Saturday of every month, at 9 a.m. in the white Chapel, and one Tuesday a month from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Library. Mark your calendar with the following dates women can join us to pray:
Saturday, November 18, 9 am in the white Chapel (Virginia Poe is this month’s guest).
Tuesdays, December 5, January 9, February 6, March 5, April 2,  and May 6 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Library (please sign in at the front desk when you arrive during the school day).

Christmas Gala 2023
Friday, December 8
Student Council invites the entire WA student body to attend the annual Christmas Gala on December 8. All WA students are invited to a night of dinner, dancing, a visit from Santa, and a Christmas celebration. Tickets are on sale November 16, 17, 20, & 21 at lunch in the Atrium for $70.00. Gala Give-a-Ways Needed
The Student Council would love to have Santa return to the Gala again this year and raffle off presents. Donations would be greatly appreciated. Gift cards from Starbucks, Target, McDonald’s, etc., of any denomination would be welcomed. You can drop them off at the front desk to the attention of Jim Holtrop anytime from now until December 8. Thanks for making this night an amazing celebration for our students!

Senior Cap and Gown Assembly
On Monday, November 13, the seniors will attend an assembly in the FAC regarding the purchasing of their cap and gowns for graduation. Our Jostens rep will be here to provide the information and answer questions. Please make sure to ask your student about this information as orders will be due in December. Please see Jenn Trott with any questions.

Sophomore Class Rings
The last date to order a class ring is Monday, November 13. All orders are taken online and can be made on Jostens.com.

2024 Winterim Courses
You may view our 2024 Winterim courses by clicking here. We are offering over 40 exciting and different courses to choose from. Seniors and Juniors have already registered. Sophomores and Freshmen will register online for an am and pm class in OnCampus at home during the following dates and times:

Sophomores: Monday, November 13, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Freshmen: Thursday, November 16, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Apply to Wheaton Academy for 2024-2025!
We are excited to announce that the 2024-2025 School Year application is open! If you know any prospective students who are interested in Wheaton Academy, we invite you to tell them to APPLY NOW by visiting wheatonacademy.org/apply. Applicants who apply this fall will be considered for an early decision (before Christmas time).

2022-2023 Yearbook Sales
We still have a limited number of last year’s yearbooks that will be available to buy on a first come, first serve basis. These yearbooks can be purchased for $35 cash or check only at the front office.

2023-2024 Yearbook Sales
You may now purchase your yearbook for this school year. Go to Jostens.com to make your purchase. The current school yearbook will be delivered during Homecoming of next year.

Senior Picture Submission
It’s time to submit Senior Pictures for the Yearbook! If you did not use Prestige Photography for your student’s Senior Portraits, you are welcome to use another photography source, but we need you to submit a photo of your own to be included in the yearbook. Photos must be submitted by December 20 to be included in the yearbook publication. We require a forward-facing portrait taken from the shoulders up, with a plain/non-distracting background. Please submit your student’s chosen picture via email to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org. Please also include your student’s first and last name. Please contact Kristen Rusthoven (krusthoven@wheatonacademy.org) with any questions. Thank you!

Senior Ads for Yearbooks!
Parents – Senior yearbook ads will again be available for purchase this year for $150 per quarter-page ad. If you order a senior ad, you do not need to order a yearbook through the Jostens website as that fee is included in the $150.  The deadline for the ads is March 11. To purchase an ad, you will need to follow this link and select the size you would like to create. More information is explained within your purchase options. You will then need to send your ad’s content (both pictures and written messages) in a single email to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org.
