Spring Coffee House

The Outspoken Club and Project Lead Global Team are hosting a Spring Coffee House fundraiser for Kids Alive International on Saturday, May 21 from 7:00- 10:00 p.m.   Wheaton Academy students will be sharing their talents through music, poetry, dramatic readings, and the visual arts.  The Coffee House will be held in the Atrium with the price of admission $5 per person and can be paid by cash or PushCoin.  The Outspoken Club will also be selling Wheaton Academy’s Art Journal, Overflow, for $5.  Please come enjoy the talents of Wheaton Academy students.

WA Women’s Prayer

If you rented the book bundle this year, you will receive an email from Mrs. Trott with the list of books that need to be returned on the above dates. Please have your student return them on these days to avoid additional fees. Fees for books that have been lost may be paid for at this time through your pushcoin account. All English novels are yours to keep. Please see Mrs. Trott with any questions.

We are excited that our ceremony will return inside at Edman Chapel this year. Students are to arrive at 2:15 p.m. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for General Admission seating. More details will be coming in an email next week. (Wheaton Academy Commencement is not a production of Wheaton College).

Seniors Surface Pro Return
Seniors – Congrats on almost completing your WA education!  Sadly, that means parting with your beloved Surface Pro 6, pen, charger, and case. 

All seniors must return the Surface Pro 6, case, pen, charger, and keyboard to the WA I.T. department no later than 12:30 pm on Friday, June 3. 

All stickers (except the serial number barcode) must be completely removed!

Fees for damaged or missing Surfaces or Accessories (diplomas and transcripts are withheld until full payment is received):

Payment is via PushCoin.  For the Keyboard and case, it may be the most cost-effective to purchase a replacement in advance on Amazon and turn it in with the Surface Pro on or before Friday, June 3.  Questions?  Please contact Bob Vishanoff bobvishanoff@wheatonacademy.org or 630 562 7554.

FREE Cap and Gown Photos with Molly Grace Photography
Parents of seniors! A friend of Wheaton Academy, Molly Grace, is an amazing photographer and is offering FREE cap and gown pictures in front of the white chapel before baccalaureate on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Just walk over to the Alumni White Chapel before the ceremony for photos. Each student will receive an emailed download gallery of their photos. Class of 2022 Yard Signs Arrived
For those Class of 2022 parents who ordered a yard sign, the signs have arrived! All of the signs and stakes are now located in the front office. We request that you or your senior pick up your sign and stake in the front office sometime next week from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Mrs. Fernandes and Mrs. Schoepke have a list of orders to cross-check. Congratulations to you and your graduate!! 

Winterim Trip Rosters
We have completed our Winterim 2023 Trip Rosters however, we need to finalize some more details for our Men’s Costa Rica Surf trip therefore that roster will be released on Monday. Click here to see the rosters.

If your child’s name is on a roster, their deposit is now non-refundable and will be put towards initial trip costs. Thank you!

2021-2022 Yearbook – Last Chance to Order
If you haven’t ordered your 2021-2022 yearbook the deadline is May 25.  The cost is $25.00 per book. Please click here to place your order. Yearbooks are only available through the Jostens website.

Summer Serve
Come and serve at Wheaton Academy this summer!  Summer Serve provides an opportunity to volunteer in a variety of capacities to make an impact on the presentation of our school facilities and help with projects to control costs and allow for a smooth transition into the fall. Summer Serve will be June 13- 17 and July 18-21. You can sign for just a day, or come for more, as we get the school ready for the next school year! Sign up using this form to join us this summer.

Athletics

LOOKING AHEAD!
For those of you who are planning your vacations this summer, the following Fall Sports will begin on Monday, August 8:

Boys and Girls Cross Country, Football, Boys and Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, and Boys Soccer.  Please plan your vacations in order to have your athlete back for the beginning of tryouts on August 8.

*IMPORTANT*-  Your athlete must have a valid Physical and the Athletic Packet completed and uploaded onto Magnus in order for them to try out on August  8.  Please be scheduling your doctor’s appointments early so you can get into your health care provider,  and get your physicals completed!
