General News

Dear WA Parents,
This time last year, I made the Friday afternoon announcement we were going remote for the two weeks prior to spring break due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.  What a year it has been since that day!  None of us could have ever predicted what the days and months that followed would hold for our school community.  As we reflect on that day last March, it is important to thank God for His many provisions for Wheaton Academy—for faculty and staff that enthusiastically finished last school year remotely and eagerly returned in August, for parents and students who have lived within the constraints of state and local guidelines that have made school more challenging, for parents and supporters who have invested time, talent, and treasure to ensure that WA students could be at school in person for the entire school year, and protection from coronavirus outbreaks or serious health issues related to the virus.  It has been a blessing to watch our community bond together during a challenging year.  We are so thankful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support, and we look forward to a strong and exciting finish to the school year!

COVID-19 Update
Over the last week, we had three individuals test positive for COVID-19, and 15 are in quarantine.

Academy Theatre Winter Show
This year, the Winter Show was an opportunity for 61 students to be cast into a selection of songs from 12 different musicals. The show will be live through March 13 at this link, Academy Theatre Winter Show on Livestream.

Senior Ads for Yearbooks
Parents, senior yearbook ads will again be available for purchase for $150 per quarter-page ad.  Fees for ads will include a yearbook at no additional cost.  Orders are due before spring break. If you order a senior ad, you do not need to order a yearbook through the Jostens website. You may click here for an example of what an ad should look like. Send your pictures and text to yearbook@wheatonacademy.org and we will design it for you.
