GRANDPARENTS DAY AT WHEATON ACADEMY

We are excited to share that Wheaton Academy’s annual Grandparents Day will be held on Wednesday, May 1.

All grandparents and “grand-friends” are invited to participate on campus from 8:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

GRANDPARENT SCHEDULE

8:15-8:45am—Welcome and continental breakfast in Warrior Dome for all students with grandparents. Students will escort grandparents to class from the Warrior Dome.

9:00-9:50am—All students and grandparents attend 1st period

10:00-10:50 am—All students and grandparents attend 2nd period

11:00-12:00pm—Grandparents attend program in the FAC to enjoy various music ensembles and hear exciting school updates. Students attend 3rd period. 

12:00pm—Dismissal of all students. Students will head to the Fine Arts Center to meet grandparents. School concludes so grandparents can spend more time with grandchild(ren).

 

SCHOOL BELL SCHEDULE

Students with grandparents: Please pick up your grandparents in Warrior Dome by 8:45am.

9:00-9:50am—Period 1

10:00-10:50am—Period 2

11:00-11:50am—Period 3

11:50am—Early Dismissal

Students with grandparents: Please pick up your grandparents in the Fine Arts Center at 12:00pm. 

 
 

PARKING

Grandparents: All Grandparents may park in the CENTRAL or NORTH Lot. Please use this map to help guide you.

Students:

  • Students with an assigned parking spot in the WEST lot may park in their assigned spot.
  • Students with assigned spots in the NORTH, CENTRAL, or EAST lot need to park off campus either in the neighborhood or use our remote parking location of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church (155 N. Prince Crossing Rd., West Chicago, IL).
    • A shuttle will be running from 8:30-9:00 am and after school from 11:50-12:15. Students can meet to get picked up from the shuttle outside Door 10.

We could use help with serving refreshments that morning, from 8:30-10:00 am. Please let Jim Holtrop know if you can help.
