Meet Our New Employee
We are pleased to announce that Rob Shuman will be serving as our International Student College Counselor.  Rob comes to us from Black Forest Academy in Germany, where he has been Principal for the past ten years.  He and his family are spending a year of home assignment in Wheaton, prior to an anticipated return to Germany.

This is Rob’s 28th year in education.  During the course of his career, he has served as a history teacher, school counselor, and school principal.  Rob looks forward to joining the Wheaton Academy community and working with a team to support and encourage students through the college process. In doing so, he hopes that students will learn more about who God made them to be, the gifts and passions He has given them and how that fits with the work they do today and the decisions they make about tomorrow.

Rob is married to Heather, and they have three boys. Their oldest just graduated from college, their middle son just started college, and their youngest is attending Wheaton Academy.

In his free time, Rob enjoys American football, taking walks, and traveling to new places.  Welcome, Rob!

Misconduct or academic ineligibility will result in the revoking of these privileges. Junior privileges include going off campus for lunch on combined lunch days and parking in any student-designated parking lot.
  • Senior Privileges – Senior privileges go into effect at the discretion of the administration, typically at the beginning of the school year. The continuation of senior privileges depends upon the ability of the class members to accept the responsibilities that necessarily go along with the additional privilege. Misconduct or academic ineligibility will result in the revoking of senior privileges. Senior privileges include parking in any student-designated parking lot, going off campus on all combined lunch days, going off campus after signing in for Study Hall, preferred seating in chapel, and the opportunity to participate in the senior trip.

Important Details if Your Family OPTED-IN for Books:

  • Please verify all books received are correct for the corresponding courses your student is currently registered for.
  • If schedules have changed within the last few weeks and you have received a book you no longer need, your family will still be responsible for returning all books at the end of the school year, even books from dropped classes. If your student’s books have changed, you have two options:
  1. You may hold on to the book (Don’t lose it or forget about it!) and return the book at the end of the year, or
  2. You may give the book with you student name listed on the book to Jenn Trott, and she will return it immediately.
  • We can serve you better knowing you didn’t receive a book at the beginning of the school year rather than finding out at the end of the school year so please let Jenn Trott know if you are missing a book.

Picture Day
School pictures for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will be taken on August 27 and 28. Lifetouch pictures will be at school from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on both days.
