General News

Off-Campus Learning Days
Once again this year, we are excited to provide our students with the opportunity to participate in Off-Campus Learning Days. These days afford our students time for uninterrupted learning on days they typically would have off for in-service/teacher conferences. Additionally, our Off-Campus Learning Days will prepare our students to seamlessly continue in their classes during snow/inclement weather days.

Our first Off-Campus Learning Day this year will take place on Monday, September 12. Students should plan to allocate the same amount of time for schoolwork as they would for a traditional on-campus day (approximately 7 hours). Teachers will make expectations clear to our students, and they will be able to access all work via OnCampus.

Donations and Volunteers Needed for Homecoming Tailgate
Project Lead Global is hosting a Homecoming family tailgate fundraiser before the Thursday night football game on September 22 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. All proceeds raised will go towards the 24 vulnerable children Wheaton Academy sponsors in the DR and Haiti through Kids Alive International.  We are looking for donations of food and supplies and parent volunteers to help assist in preparing and serving the food and helping with clean-up. Please click here to sign up to donate and/or serve.   If you have any questions please contact, Valerie Gregersen.

Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Traffic Flow – Use Hawthorne Avenue to enter Campus and Prince Crossing Road to Exit **
We are requesting that all parents who are picking up and/or dropping off students before and after school please use the Hawthorne Avenue entrance ONLY. We are looking to keep open the north drive lane entirely for fire and police should that be needed. Pick-up and drop-off can occur in the central lot circle (please pull all the way through the lot), north drive main entrance circle (please pull all the way through), or in front of the Field House.  Please exit campus out Prince Crossing Road and head to the right out Prince Crossing Road. Should you anticipate waiting longer than 5 minutes, please pull into an open parking spot. Student drivers can still enter campus via either entrance to come to park.

Please click here for a campus map. Thank you for your assistance!
