Student Worship Night

Students, we will host our first worship night of the new year on Tuesday, August 25, from 6:00-7:00 on the lawn beside the FAC. Please bring a mask and be prepared to social distance.

Women’s Prayer
Tuesday, August 25
1:45 p.m.
We are excited that the Wheaton Academy Women’s Prayer Group will be meeting during the 2020-2021 school year with a few modifications.  The first gathering will be on August 25 at 1:45 p.m. for an outside prayer walk around the Wheaton Academy campus.  (The prayer walk will take place unless it is storming.  Please plan to meet on the lawn east of the Fine Arts Center.)

Meetings will begin on Tuesday, September 15, from 1:45 – 2:45 p.m. While the weather is pleasant, meetings will take place outside.  Please bring your lawn chair or a blanket and plan to meet on the lawn to the east of the Fine Arts Center.  Please keep in mind: While meetings are planned to take place outside, a location alternative inside the building will be available.  Social distancing guidelines will be observed, and masks are required when entering the buildings.

Schedule Changes
Thank you for your patience with schedule changes. Please note that due to Covid-19 guidelines, we have very little flexibility to change schedules as we have classrooms set up for all desks to be 6 feet apart, which limits the class size. We will work with each student individually on schedule changes and accommodate them as we are able. We also appreciate your grace as our registrar continues to adjust schedules to make sure all students can be appropriately distanced per the Covid-19 guidelines.

Quiz Bowl
If your son or daughter enjoys trivia, learning, playing games, fellowship, and having fun, they should join Quiz Bowl!  We practice Mondays during lunch and Tuesdays from 3:15-5:00 p.m. in Academy Hall, room 119. Eventually, We play schools on Tuesdays, along with an occasional Saturday tournament, though the specifics of the competitions are still being worked out.  For more information, contact Evan Jasper at ejasper@wheatonacademy.org or 630-562-7560.

College Corner

Parents of Seniors and Seniors: On Wednesday, October 14, Wheaton Academy is planning to have an all-school testing day.  An SAT Day test for seniors will run concurrently with the PSAT for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.  Senior SAT test results can be used for college admissions and scholarship purposes.  Consider doing some test preparation via Khan Academy as it is free and can be linked with your College Board account.  The Wheaton Academy Tutoring Center is also available for test prep help as well.
