General News

Exciting News – Field Renovations This Summer!
We’re thrilled to share that both our Main Field and Practice Field are getting brand new turf this summer! Work kicks off in mid-May, and we expect everything to be finished by early August, just in time for fall sports.

Starting in mid-May, you’ll notice increased truck and construction activity on campus as crews do the heavy groundwork. The heaviest truck traffic is scheduled to occur before and after daily drop-off times, so disruption during those windows should be minimal. The Main Field will have its new turf down by the July 4th holiday weekend, and the Practice Field will follow, wrapping up by the end of July.

We can’t wait for our students and athletes to experience the upgrades this fall. We’ll keep you posted as things progress. Thank you in advance for your patience with any extra activity on campus this spring and summer!

Parent Survey
Because Wheaton Academy places a high value on parent feedback, we will conduct our annual parent survey in the upcoming weeks.  Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we’re excited to once again partner with SchoolRIGHT to conduct our Confidential Parent Survey.

The survey will launch on Tuesday, April 28, from the email address: surveys@schoolright.net. Please keep an eye out for it in your inbox and be sure to check your spam or junk folder just in case.

The survey will only be open until Monday, May 11 , and takes 10 minutes to complete. Your input helps us grow and better serve our school community. Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts! Please note: The survey link is unique to your email and cannot be forwarded. Thank you for partnering with us!

Yearbook Orders
Order your 2025-2026 yearbook today! Yearbooks will be available for purchase until May 31, 2026. Please follow this link to order. Please reach out to Ms. Rusthoven (krusthoven@wheatonacademy.org) with any questions. Thanks!

Interested in Wheaton Academy—apply today!
Good news! Our Wheaton Academy Admissions office has received a record number of applicants this fall, and we anticipate a full school again this year. If you have any friends who are considering WA or on the fence, please urge them to finish the application process as soon as possible.

Encourage your friends to submit an application as a first step. Knowing a family’s interest now helps us tremendously and helps them avoid a potential wait pool situation this spring.

Please contact Amy Burdett, Admissions Coordinator, or Amy Hogan, Director of Admissions, with any questions or helpful insights!

REAL ID Needed for Senior Trip Flights
If your child is attending the Senior Trip and will be 18 years old at the time of travel, please be sure to have a real ID or a passport for boarding. This is now required to travel domestically.

From the travel website:
Illinois residents 18 and older who plan to fly domestically, or access certain federal facilities will need a REAL ID by May 7, 2025. If you do not get a REAL ID, you will need another federally accepted form of identification, such as a passport, to board a domestic flight or enter these facilities.

Please make an appointment to get a real ID ASAP. We will not be able to get your child on the airline flights without the Real ID or Passport.

Senior Ads for the Yearbook
Senior yearbook ads will be available for purchase again this year! Please follow this link if you would like to purchase an ad for your student. Size options include a quarter-page, half-page, or full-page ad. You will design your ad on the website, which will be directly imported into the yearbook – nothing needs to be sent to Wheaton Academy. Yearbook ads can be purchased until April 30, 2026. In past years, a free yearbook was included with the purchase of an ad. Please note that Jostens has changed its policy and no longer includes a free yearbook with ad purchase, so yearbooks will need to be purchased separately. You can purchase a yearbook using the same link as the link to the ads. Please contact Ms. Rusthoven with any questions (krusthoven@wheatonacademy.org).

Please note a change regarding the due date for senior ads! The last day to submit senior ads to the yearbook is THURSDAY, APRIL 30. The previous announcement said May 1, but ads must be submitted by April 30. This is a hard deadline from the company and cannot be altered. Thank you!
