The following internship opportunities are provided by some our valued Wheaton Academy Business Partners. If you are interested in one of the internship postings listed below, follow the instructions in the post to apply. Applications do not guarantee acceptance to the role. Organization: AmeriChem Systems, Inc.
Location: Aurora, IL
Overview: At AmeriChem Systems, high school interns with an interest in engineering will get hands-on exposure to real industrial processes and problem-solving. Interns will: Learn about water and wastewater treatment systems, including how industrial water treatment technologies work and the mechanics behind them. Assist with engineering projects, such as process optimization, data collection, and basic design support under the guidance of experienced engineers. Work with field equipment, gaining familiarity with instrumentation, testing procedures, and safety practices used in industrial environments. Participate in customer meetings, observing pre-sales, kick-off, and factory acceptance testing of systems. Develop professional skills, including technical communication, teamwork, and project documentation that prepare them for future engineering studies and careers.

Organization: Voice with Vee Music Studio
Overview: Our internship offers hands-on exposure to both music education and arts management within an active, community-based music studio. Interns will support private lessons and rehearsals, assist with recital and event preparation, and help with basic studio operations such as scheduling and organization. Through observation and participation, interns will learn effective teaching strategies, foundational vocal and performance techniques, and how students progress over time. They will also gain insight into running a creative small business, including communication with families, event planning, and inclusive teaching practices that serve students of all ages and abilities.

Overview: The big raise is a charity that helps other charities. The student would not only learn organizational skills, but also learn to work with other organizations and develop relationships. Students will help with building, marketing, operating charity events. These range from dinners to golf events, walks, and more.

Location: Geneva, IL
Overview: Caregiver Engagement & Culture Intern is ideal for a student would like to explore HR, organizational psychology, business, or communications. Our intern would work with HR. CareTeam Manager & Agency owner to assist with Support caregiver recognition programs, help design appreciation events, raffles, and materials, create onboarding checklists and welcome resources no-traditional recruiting, and draft internal communications (texts, flyers, reminders).

Overview: Marketing / Social Media intern will develop ethical, people-centered storytelling in a healthcare marketing framework which would require learning of state and federal regulations, privacy laws, etc. Intern would work together with Agency owner / out reach manager. Key areas would include: Draft social media captions (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), Create Canva graphics using brand templates, Suggest content ideas based on: Caregiver appreciation, Aging-in-place education, Community events, Schedule posts (with approval), Track basic metrics (reach, engagement).

Overview: Students will have opportunity to observe pediatric therapists in the areas of Physical, occupational and speech therapy. Children at our clinic have a variety of special needs including autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays, to name a few.

Students will also get the chance to be a part of our business development team and observe how we make decisions on location selection, budgeting, and business model building for our business plan to build New England’s First indoor dog park. We are also expanding to sell pet-related products so if product design/management is something students are interested in we will be able to help them widen their horizon that way too!
