2024 Christmas Gala Letter from Student Life Team

Dear Wheaton Academy Parents,

It is hard to imagine that we are already discussing Christmas activities! Our students have had an amazing series of events already this year: The Glow Dance, Homecoming, the Fall Informal, football and soccer games to name a few. We wanted to give you some important information about our upcoming Student Council event. This year we will be celebrating the Christmas season in nearby downtown St. Charles.

The Christmas Gala will be held on Friday, December 6, at the Hotel Baker, on the Fox River. The event will begin at 7:00 pm and conclude at 9:30 pm. The evening will include a full dinner with dessert and a hot chocolate/coffee bar. Activities will include dancing, photo opportunities, and Christmas fun. It will be a night for the students and faculty to build friendships and community in a safe, fun, and beautiful setting. Students can be dropped off and picked up at the hotel, and there is a parking garage for students who will drive that evening.

Tickets for this event will be $80.00 per student and will be sold in the Student Union during lunch, November 14 – 19. Push-Coin will be available for payment. Please note that tickets will only be available during that week and not at the door. Wheaton Academy students may invite guests from other schools if they complete the guest form which can be picked up at the front office.

At Wheaton Academy, the activities we offer seek to encourage all students to attend events where they feel welcome. Students can come with friends or bring a date – both are encouraged.

The dress for this evening is a night of formal attire. Many of our students requested an evening of formal dress, and with that in mind, we ask you to partner with us to ensure students dress appropriately for the event. We understand that fashion trends sometimes make it challenging as we seek to help students choose their attire. We ask that you, as parents, would help all students make modest choices and allow everyone to enjoy themselves without the distractions that can come from fashion choices drawing undue attention. Boys can wear suits, sport coats, or tuxes. Girls can wear long/maxi dresses with straps (one shoulder is acceptable). Guests in attendance must also adhere to our dress policy. We appreciate your help in assuring that this event highlights our students and the standards we expect from them.

We are looking forward to a great event! Please don’t hesitate to contact anyone on the Student Life Team with questions.

Sincerely,

The Wheaton Academy Student Life Team
