WA Dad’s Prayer

On the second Saturday of each month, the men from the WA community meet to pray and hear from one of our WA employees. Please join us for prayer tomorrow, January 11, at 8:00 a.m. in the white Alumni Chapel. Our guest speaker for this month is Matt Dominguez, WA Bible and English teacher. Light refreshments are served.

Winterim
Morning Course Session: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Lunch (on campus): 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Afternoon Course Session: 11:45 a.m. ­- 2:45 p.m.
Winterim is off and running! Please continue to pray for all of our students, teachers, and chaperones traveling, in internships, and classes. Dress code remains in effect during Winterim.

Second Semester Details
Second semester begins on Wednesday, January 22 at 8:00 a.m. We will run a 7-period schedule on both Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. A reminder for students who opted-in to the book bundle at the beginning of this school year: If a student’s courses change at any time during first or second semester, your student is responsible for returning all books (even of the dropped courses) at the end of second semester.

Mozart and Muffins
Calling all musicians! (Instrumentalists and/or singers)  Please consider sharing your music at the next Mozart and Muffins (and more!) recital at Anna Jones’ home, very near WA on Saturday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m.  Repertoire can include classical music, classic jazz or folk songs.  Please contact Helen Westerfield hwesterfield@wheatonacademy.org if you would like to perform, or have a friend you would like to encourage to perform!

Need-Based Scholarship Application
The Wheaton Academy 2020-2021 need-based scholarship application is now open.  To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must complete the online application by January 31, 2020.  For more details and/or to complete the online application visit https://wheatonacademy.org/affordable.

No Overnight Parking at WA
We would like to make parents and students aware that due to liability issues and seasonal snow removal needs, we cannot have personal vehicles left on campus overnight. WA is not responsible for the security of any private property, such as a vehicle left on campus overnight. Owners of the vehicles will be responsible if towing is necessary to accommodate plowing or parking needs.

Attention Sophomore ParentsThe Class of 2022 is holding a spaghetti lunch fundraiser during lunch on Friday, February 14. We are looking for parent volunteers and food donations.  Please click here to see and sign up for donation and volunteer needs.  We would love all sign-ups to be completed by Wednesday, February 12. If you have questions, please contact the sophomore class sponsor, Mrs. Valerie Gregersen.
