We are thrilled you have chosen to enroll at Wheaton Academy. Please consult the following information to help you navigate your next steps.
We are excited to host your student on campus for LAUNCH on August 17th from 11:30 to 5:30pm. This day is designed to help your freshman student start well at Wheaton Academy as we discuss details for the first day of school, jumpstart their mentorship with Project IX seniors, and establish friendships with their peers.
To help us prepare, we ask that you complete this RSVP survey to confirm your student’s involvement in the day, as well other important planning details. We ask that you complete this survey by August 11th.
Below is the schedule for the day:
– 11:30 – 12:15pm: Provided lunch on the Performance Trust Field in Project IX groups
– 12:30 – 4:30pm: 8 small-group session rotations to train freshman students on: school culture, Kingdom Community, first day of school details, UNITE plan expectations, and several opportunities to make connections with their peers and Project IX seniors
– 4:30-5:00pm: Time of reflection, prayer, and worship
– 5:00-5:30pm: Schedule distribution, ID distribution, and optional campus tours begin
NOTE: Freshman parents who “opted in” to the book program at Wheaton Academy are welcome to pick up their students’ books from 10:30-12:00 on Monday, August 17th in the Commons of the Academic Building.
On the day of LAUNCH, we do ask that your student brings a mask with them to wear for the day. Additionally, we suggest students wear comfortable clothes–t-shirts, shorts, etc. as we will be both indoor and outdoor. The dress code for the day is more casual than the school day expectations. Finally, we do ask parents to complete the self-certification on the Magnus APP with their student by 10:30am on the 17th. Additionally, we invite parents to join us for a brief get-together from 11:00-12:30 on August 17th by the reflection pond outside of Academy Hall. We will provide light food, outdoor space, and an opportunity for parents to get to know each other after you drop off your freshman student at LAUNCH. If you would like to participate in this get-together, we ask that you RSVP on this survey link provided above so we can plan accordingly.

The Student Life Team
Wheaton Academy uses the OnCampus portal for classes, communication, and other log-in platforms. Both parents and students have separate log-in accounts. Parents created their OnCampus account when they applied their student to Wheaton Academy. Within this OnCampus system, families will find direct links to Magnus, SMART Tuition, PushCoin, Naviance, student grades, & student schedules. Click here for the login page to OnCampus. The 2020-2021 school year tuition payments begin in June. Please use your SMART Tuition account to submit these payments.
Parents can access their SMART tuition account through their OnCampus log-in.

Once you log in to OnCampus, you will have access to the Magnus Portal, which is where we collect all of our medical forms and several of our back to school forms. All forms listed below need to be submitted by August 1.

- Annual Event Participation/Permission
- Driving/Riding Permission Form
- Permission for Over the Counter Medication
- Care Plans (ex. Asthma, Severe Allergies, etc. if applicable)

- Upload annual athletic packet (athletes only)
- Textbook Acquisition Requirement for 2020-2021
The dental and eye exam forms are not due until May 15 and October 15 respectively, but you may turn them in now if they have them. You will receive reminders directly from Magnus as the deadlines get closer.

If you encounter difficulty with your Magnus account, please call the Magnus help desk at 877-461-6831 or email them at email@example.com. You will be receiving regular reminder emails from Magnus until all of the requirements have been completed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All required Magnus forms MUST be complete BEFORE a student will be allowed to participate in athletics (including tryouts), retreats or any school sponsored event.
Wheaton Academy’s lunch program uses a computerized all-in-one system called PushCoin. This fully secure, mobile-friendly technology gives families greater control and discretion over their students’ lunchtime purchases while making the purchase transaction easier and more convenient for students.
If your student is interested in participating in this program, login information will be sent to individual families from Student Services in late summer. Once families receive this login, families can register at www.pushcoin.com and questions can be answered at firstname.lastname@example.org. For any Wheaton Academy related questions regarding lunch, contact Ruth Lindstedt at email@example.com after August 1.
If you would like to order lunch, order through Pushcoin, the first week of lunch must be ordered by Thursday, August 13th.
Please note upon graduation or withdrawal, the family can request a refund for the balance in their student’s Pushcoin account. Any Pushcoin accounts which have a balance of $10 or less will be donated to Wheaton Academy’s Annual Fund.
Surfaces will be available to pick up from August 10-14 at the front desk from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Students’ schedules will be available in OnCampus in mid-July. Log in to review the schedule, but please remember the order of classes may change as we continue to balance schedules. Please let Student Services know if you have any questions regarding your student’s schedule.

Families have two options for purchasing textbooks. They can opt in to ALL ACCESS rental option or opt out and purchase textbooks independently. Families can select their preference through the textbook acquisition form on Magnus.
ALL ACCESS Rental
Wheaton Academy will process pre-bundled book rental orders from eCampus for each student. The cost of the ALL ACCESS rental option is $375.00 per student and will be billed to each family’s Smart Tuition account and the charge will be included on the September invoice. Please see below for a description of ALL ACCESS:
ALL ACCESS: This pre-bundled book rental option includes required curriculum items for each class specified in your student’s schedule at a flat annual rental rate of $375.00. This bundle will contain the book format – physical textbook, digital access, etc. and other supporting materials required for each course, such as workbooks, journals and novels. The pre-bundled rental option also comes with enhanced customer service features from eCampus, including shipping to and distribution at Wheaton Academy prior to the start of school and collection from Wheaton Academy at the end of the school year. Additionally, should your student experience a schedule change, updated books will be processed automatically by eCampus and curriculum items for the new class will be added to your rental bundle and sent to Wheaton Academy immediately – at no additional charge to you. The bundle will need to be returned by June 4, 2021 as this is a rental. If the books are not returned by this date, your account will be charged an additional $400.
If your family opted in for book rental, you will need to pick up your student’s books. Please sign up for a time using this link.
If your student would like to park on campus you must register for a parking permit. Complete this form to register for the permit. The actual permit can be picked up next week on campus.
Back to School Prayer Night
Tuesday, August 18
Students and parents, join us for a night of prayer as we kick off the new school year. Without question, this year looks different and holds its unique challenges, but it also holds great promise and opportunity. We will pray for God’s strength in times of struggle and His faithfulness to see us through. Meet on the lawn beside the FAC from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Please bring a mask and be prepared to social distance.
On July 29th, the IHSA introduced their modified athletic schedule for the 2020-2021 school year to allow high school sports to happen as safely as possible. Under those guidelines, four of Wheaton Academy’s athletic programs are set to compete in the fall season. Cross country, boys golf, girls golf, and girls tennis are those sports able to begin as soon as August 10th. With that said, the tryout times are as follows:
BOYS/GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY– Tryouts will begin on August 10th at 3:15 at Wheaton Academy. Athletes will be required to run 3 miles in 25:30 (boys) and 27:00 (girls) as the conditioning standard. Feel free to email Coach Felinski with any questions/concerns at Cfelinski@wheatonacademy.org.
BOYS GOLF– Tryouts for Boys Golf will be held on August 10 & 11 at Villa Olivia Golf Club in Bartlett. Prospective players are to report to the practice putting green by 7:30 am each day. Boys who have not participated on the Golf Team in previous years should tell Coach Broman of their intention to try out by sending an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
GIRLS GOLF– Tryouts will begin on August 10th.
Monday: Villa Olivia Golf in Bartlett, 18 holes. Arrive at 8:30 am
Tuesday: Cantigny Youth Links, 9 holes. Arrive at 3:45 pm
Wednesday: St. Andrews Golf range/practice center. 6:30 am – 7:30 am.

GIRLS TENNIS– Tryouts will begin on August 10th, and will run August 10-12th from 3:30-5:30pm. Important information will be given to the girls the first day of practice regarding the Covid-19 guidelines. Coach Visker will be sending out an email to all interested families. Every athlete, regardless of season, must have an updated physical and athletic packet on Magnus before the first day of their tryout, or they will not be allowed to participate. Please contact Dawn Hamm at email@example.com if you have any questions or concerns.

We are requesting that all families who are picking up and or dropping off students before and after school to please use the Hawthorne Avenue entrance ONLY. We are looking to keep open the north drive lane entirely for fire, and police should that be needed. Pick up and drop off can occur in the central lot circle, north drive circle, or in front of the Field House.
On the first day of school, students should bring their Surface 6s, textbooks (if they didn’t drop them in their locker already), pencils, pens, paper and perhaps a folder. Teachers will notify students on the first day of school regarding required school supplies for each class.
